Pursuant to the Magistrates Court Act 1987 section 15AA and the Magistrates Court (Civil Division) Rules 1998 rule 9, I approve the Forms described below for use in actions and proceedings filed in the Court:

Forms numbered 2 (Claim – Unliquidated), 25 (Garnishee Order Nisi), and 26 (Garnishee Order Absolute) previously approved by Practice Direction No. 1 of 1998 are rescinded.
All other Forms previously approved by Practice Direction No. 1 of 1998 remain in force.
The Forms are available for downloading in electronic format from the Magistrates Court of Tasmania Website on the Internet at the following address:

The approved Forms will be updated from time to time, as the Magistrates Court Rules Committee sees fit. It is therefore recommended that practitioners limit the number of pre-printed Forms which they hold in stock, in case any particular Form is amended. The currently approved version of all Forms will always be available on the abovementioned Website.
