Smithton Magistrates Court

The Smithton Magistrates Court is currently unable to sit in Smithton due to the lack of a suitable building. Matters which would otherwise be listed in Smithton are now being dealt with in Burnie.  The Department of Justice is working to find an appropriate building for the Magistrates Court to sit in Smithton and if premises are found the Court intends to recommence sittings in Smithton.
