Child Protection Applications – Electronic Copies
Circular No 1 of 2008 is rescinded and replaced with this circular.
Practitioners and child protection officers applying for care and protection orders under the Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997 are requested to email an electronic copy of their Application to the relevant registry of the Magistrates Court, in addition to filing a hard copy of the Application with supporting Affidavits.
The emailed copy is to be in a Word document format.
Provision of an electronic copy of the Application (containing details of the Orders sought) will enable the Court registry to prepare formal orders (both interim and final) for the parties in a more timely manner following conclusion of the proceedings.
The electronic copy of the Application should be sent as an email attachment to:
