No 3 of 2017 - Use of Special Equipment in Court
When any party appearing in a matter before the Court needs to use technology other than video conferencing equipment and monitors, that party must provide their own equipment (including computer, cables, power leads, etc).
It is recommended that the equipment be tested in court before the court date. To arrange access to a court room for testing please contact the Facilities Coordinator at least 3 business days before the scheduled court date.
Hobart: Simon Allanby on 616 57100
Launceston: David House on 677 72941
Devonport: Cathryn McCaffrey on 647 84351
Burnie: Natalie Luttrell on 647 77139
The Court will make all reasonable efforts to assist, but the obligation lies with the party relying on the technology to provide all necessary equipment and ensure that it works.
Where a party wishes to use video conferencing equipment the video conference booking form, available on the Magistrates Court website at video conference booking request form (dox, 35.2 KB), must be completed. A fee will apply.
