I, DONALD JOHN JONES, Coroner, having investigated a death of

MATTHEW DAVID LISTER

WITH AN INQUEST HELD AT BURNIE Magistrates Court

in Tasmania

FIND THAT :

Matthew David LISTER died between 1630 and 1730 hours on the 6th June 2001 at the Heemskerk 1670 level at the Renison Bell Tin Mine, near Zeehan in Tasmania. 

Matthew David LISTER was born at Sydney in New South Wales on the 24th February 1977 and was aged 24 year(s).

Matthew David LISTER was single and whose occupation at the date of death was a Mine Planning Engineer/ Trainee Miner

I find that the deceased died as a result of:

Multiple injuries sustained in a rock fall while assisting in mechanical scaling operations 

At the time of the deceased person’s death he was not being treated by a medical practitioner.
